Due to having the opportunity, coupled with the bind of having to stay home
and not attend other meets, I'll be having a furmeet at my (folks) place on
Saturday the 2nd of December.
It's specifically at 7 Ridgeview Court, Sewell NJ 08080. Some programs like
Mapquest may change the township to 'Mantua' instead of Sewell, but either
often works. It's in a development, off of a road called 553 alternate.
There are some things you should keep well in mind if you plan to attend, on
top of usual observances of respect for being in another's home.
*We have two (large) dogs, and one cat. All three are very friendly. If
you're morbidly afraid or allergic to such animals, don't come. If need be,
I can place the animals away, but not indefinitley (they will have to pee).
They should be in bed as well after 10 if not sooner.
*There will be my adoptive brother (still an infant) in the house, along
with my Stepgrandmother to car for him. They should both be in bed for a
good deal of the meet, which simply implies a 'don't make tremendous amounts
of noise' rule, but the house should be large enough to dampen general noise
well enough.
*It's simply put, an alcohol free house. No exceptions. Period.
*Sleeping over may well not be a possibility, unless I happen to know you
well.
*Bring three dollars in cash if you plan to make it home and don't have EZ
pass. That's a one-way charge for leaving NJ on most major bridges.
*Yes, there is wireless internet access here. No, I cannot garuntee it will
work properly, although we can try.
I plan to start the meet around 5-6 pm, but I understand if someone needs to
arrive later or earlier. Around 7 or 8 I can organize us to caravan to local
Italian eateries (if a smaller group) or order pizza or Chinese food (if too
large of a group). If the case is the later, I will collect funds before
heading off.
It is a Jersey meet, but I know many of the possible attendees (if any
attend at all, that is) will be from the PA area.
>From anywhere in not-so-south not-so-eastern PA, you can...
-Hop on I-95 South, towards/through Chester
-Take the Commadore Barry Bridge exit (322)
-Once over the bridge, you can take the second exit (it comes up fast)
towards 130/295 NORTH
-Take exit 18 (long offramp a tall TA sign should be on your right), turning
right on the local road 678 (do not take 667)
-Follow 678 through several traffic lights, until you are forced to merge
from a section of a fork onto a road travelling at your right.
-Hang a left from the first available turning lane into the development
there (onlt a few hundred feet after the last light).
-Bear left at the fork*, then turn left at the stop sign (Deerfield Circle),
then take another left onto Ridgeview.
*Mapquest and similar often forget to mention this.
Most of the bridges from Philly tend to either hit 295 or 55, which can also
be used. If internet sources for maps and directions fail you, feel free to
tell me, and I can arrange a route.
Don't be afraid to ask if you need to know anything else, but I was so wordy
because I wanted to try to cover everything.
