[Pa-furry] Hi Furs

I'm just gunna throw in an unbiased 2 cents here.

I have very little experience with Vista, for starters. But I decided to
switch to a Mac for both price (yes, at the time I bought my macbook pro, it
was one of the better deals among pre-built laptops), usability, and general
frustration with XP. Being able to dual-boot is also a big sell. If for some
reason I'm completely displeased with Tiger or Leopard, I can just go to XP
or Vista.

I used Tiger at school for several years before getting my mac this august,
and then upgrading to Leopard when it came out. I split a family pack with
some locals (ty dragonfire!), so I paid $40. Now, as I read this email
thread I managed to get a kernel panic. However, despite some minor issues,
I think the new features such as quick look were totally worth the money. So
far, I've had to spend less time with maintenance on my mac that on my PC.
Granted its a bit early but so far I'd recommend Leopard to most people who
wouldn't normally have a preference. Its just too easy, and usually "just
works".
