I don't know if this has ever been addressed, or if it even CAN be
addressed ... but what about "kids" and their NON-furry parents? 
Occasionally I run into older teenagers who would LOVE to be in furry
fandom more, and would even love to attend a con, but they're afraid of
what their parents might think or say, especially after the attempted
poisoning of the fandom through the media (last year at AC I was *still*
hearing non-furs referring to "CSI" and wanted to grab them by the
shoulders and shake vigorously).  Is there ANYthing that we can do to
educate the parents so they know their kids *won't* come back in as bear
suit-wearing homosexuals looking for anatomically-correct plushies?
